Trail Riding in Bhutan

With the cyclist enthusiast increasing in Bhutan especially in the Paro and Thimphu, numerous off road cycling trails has been constructed and maintained. The trail connects some of the major attractions of the city as well as goes through the rich vegetation, thick forest and bird eye view of the major cities and valleys. The trail can vary in steepness, length and duration depending on the location.

This trail riding can include other activities such as camping and fishing and it’s a relaxed, peaceful and natural. Biking starts mostly downhill, on the ridges, overlooking the valleys with the spectacular view of the Himalayas and snow capped mountains. It meanders through small towns, villages and rural areas.

The Trail can be muddy, rocky or smooth flow and depending on the location and our experienced guide with mechanical background will help you with the technicalities of the trail.

Itinerary

Route 1 : Tiger's Nest to Paro Town

1 and half hour push the bike, Along the Horse Trail, Idle Time 1700 Hrs, Total Duration 45 Mins

Route 2 : Paro - Bumdra

30 Percent Ride, 70 Percent Push

Route 3 : Tiger's Nest Moanstery - Bumdra- Sangachokhor

Duration 1 Hour, Difficulties - 5 (out of 1 - 10 Scale), had both flowy as well as technicals

Route 4 : KC Trail

Duration 1 Hour, Difficulty 4 (out of 1 - 10 scale)

Route 5 : Phobjikha Cross Country Ride

On the Natural trail, Distance 52 Km, Duration 8 hours, Ends at Gangtey Monastery
